Charmed in the Big Easy by Delilah Devlin and Paisley Smith - Coming June 6

I’m so excited about the second book in the Femme Noir series. I love this book more than the first one. Both stories are filled with eerie cemeteries, sexy, curvy Voodoo Queens, seductive spells, and a touch of erotic horror.
About Charmed in the Big Easy ~
Femme Noir, Book Two
Under the Rainbow by Paisley Smith
Novice witch MeLeah McKinney is on a mission to retrieve a talisman from the grave of Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau. The relic must be energized via a sex-magick ritual—a tall order since MeLeah has no partner. She decides to gather energy at a live sex show on Bourbon Street. She doesn’t count on help from Celestine Laveau’s ghost, who’s crossed the rainbow bridge to bring ecstasy to the young witch—and serve her own agenda.
Defeating an ancient vampire requires not one talisman, but two…
The Mambo’s Door by Delilah Devlin
Ingrid Kassel isn’t in complete control of her witch powers—especially after drinking a double shot of vampire blood. Attempting to retrieve a candle buried with the Voodoo Queen’s daughter, Ingrid angers the spirit guarding the tomb. She finds herself in a shadowy limbo, where the daughter Marie lives in fear of a demon who also desires the relic. In desperation Marie tricks Ingrid, captures her, seduces her, shows her exquisite pleasure while charging the candle with sex magick…for Marie’s own attempt at freedom from the world of the dead.
Publisher’s Note: For the greatest enjoyment, we recommend reading the books of Femme Noir in series order.

Here’s an excerpt ~
Under the Rainbow
Paisley Smith
She’d told the manager her stage name was Miss Scarlett. “One of twenty-two this week, but who gives a shit,” the manager had said, writing it down.
And now MeLeah heard her name being announced by the DJ. “Ladies and gentlemen, put your hands together for our premiere solo act, never before seen on the stage, all the way from Hotlanta, Mizzz Scarrrrlet!”
Music pumped. Erotic, heart-pounding music. The vampire blood amped up in response and MeLeah felt as if another person had just invaded her body as she sauntered up the steps and onto the stage. Confidence surged. Her insides tingled in anticipation.
“Where’s your fuck-buddy, sweetheart?” one heckler yelled.
“You need me to come up there and stick a dick to you, girl?” another chimed in.
MeLeah ignored them. She was here to raise the energy in the room to untold heights, to absorb it and reignite the talisman’s power. To do that, she had to entertain.
Everybody was looking.
Everybody was waiting.
MeLeah tossed her toys onto the center-stage bed and let the music seep in as she danced her way to a brass pole.
“Show us them titties!”
She winked at the guy who’d hollered that.
“Maybe she don’t like men,” a woman catcalled. In her Budweiser tank and cut-off shorts, she looked rode hard and put up wet.
A raucous laugh rose, competing with the thumping music. MeLeah seized the pole and let her weight propel her gracefully around it. When she faced the audience again, she plunged her free hand under the devil kitty’s face and rubbed her clit as she performed a dance that would put a seasoned stripper to shame. The combination of being watched and playing with herself sent a wave of heat rippling up her spine.
She heard a growl and realized it had torn from her own throat. Her hand worked faster as she planted her back against the pole and rode it up and down to boisterous encouragement from the crowd.
They watched her. All of them. And MeLeah gloried in it. Never had she felt so seductive and sexy. She withdrew her finger and brought it to her lips, tasting her own slick wetness.
“That’s what I’m talkin’ about!”
A female voice rose above the crowd. “Whoo, baby! I got a pussy you can eat!”
The talisman swung, the pendant sweeping the bare flesh of her abdomen as she danced. It was time for more.
The Mambo’s Door
Delilah Devlin
Ingrid gave up fighting the attraction she’d felt since the first moment she’d spied the woman sitting on the porch. Marie’s skin was a pretty cafĂ©-au-lait, her hair was long and a lustrous, inky black. Her eyes were brown, but with golden lights that reflected the lantern’s glow. Naked, her body was a tomboy’s dream—lush, full curves above and below a trim waist. Marie’s scent ratcheted up Ingrid’s arousal—a pungent mix of herbs and patchouli that drifted over to her with the mambo’s every movement.
The invitation was there. In the half-lidded stare, the pout of her lips, the ruching of her lovely areolas.
Even the slight sway of the cabin on its stilts, the sound of water flooding slowly beneath it, as though the house were a boat drifting on a lazy sea, added an extra layer to the lush invitation. One she wasn’t going to refuse. She had nowhere to go for a few hours anyway. Why not taste the mambo’s passion?
Urgent heat raced through her body, spiking her nipples, swelling her folds. Ingrid slid off her ball cap, released her hair from its clip and shook her head to let it tumble around her shoulders. She scraped her tee from her waistband and pulled it over her head. Then there were hands helping her, pulling down the cups of her bra to bare her breasts.
Ingrid laughed and tossed away her shirt, then unsnapped the bra and let it fall away. She unbuckled her belt, toed off her sneakers and stood while Marie dipped to shove her jeans down her legs.
When she was nude, the two women walked hand-in-hand to the bed and lay down facing one another.
Marie rubbed Ingrid’s nipple. “It’s been so long. C’est bien.”
“I thought time had no meaning here.”
“Even before. I took male lovers with deep pockets. So much easier to manipulate. My mouth on their cocks enslaved them.”
“I’ll bet.” Ingrid bit her lower lip.
“I’ll bet you’d like my mouth here, wouldn’t you, gal?” Marie asked, thumbing a turgid tip.
Ingrid smoothed a hand over the deep curve of Marie’s waist. “Maybe a kiss of introduction first?”
Marie’s mouth stretched. “Come closer, li’l witch.”
Ingrid inched over until their breasts mashed together, warm skin to warm skin, jutting points scraping. In the glow of the oil lamp their skin was burnished a lovely pale gold and deeper amber.
Marie’s eyes glittered, then she closed them, leaning closer to press her lips against Ingrid’s. Ingrid opened, sighing as the other woman’s tongue stroked her bottom lip then slid inside.
A niggling thought slipped into her mind, that she was making love with a dead woman. One she’d just met and whose kiss set her nerve endings tingling and her belly cramping with desire. How much of it was this place? How much the vampire blood that gave her this desperate hunger?
None of that mattered, not the deeper the kiss went.
If this whet’s your appetite, you might want read the first Femme Noir book first.

Bitten in the Big Easy

Delilah Devlin and I have contracted a three book lesbian, paranormal series with Ellora’s Cave, Femme Noir. The first of the series is Bitten in the Big Easy out now! Here’s a teaser:
Butterfly by Paisley Smith
Vampire, Narcissa Csintalan has come to New Orleans to meet her sister. Where better for a real vampire to fit in? But as usual, Elena’s late. And besides, Cissy has a raging fang-on for the bar’s sinfully sexy, butch bass player. The bite marks on the songbird’s neck put her at the top of Cissy’s must-feed list.
Butterfly Baudelaire has vowed not to bring home any more “strays.” But the blonde coming on to her has a killer pair of fangs and looks like she knows how to use ‘em. Butterfly’s not banking on the bite Cissy takes out of her heart or the fact more than her well-spanked bottom is in danger from her vampire lover.
Gilded Cage by Delilah Devlin
Since she and her sister were turned by the most notorious female vampire in history, Elena Csintalan wrestles her inner demon on a nightly basis. Other than the occasional priest, she limits her meals to those who truly deserve it. This night, she never expects her limits to be tested—until she steps through the doors of a popular New Orleans haunt and finds herself drawn to a tawny woman with curves so lush her eyeteeth spike. Before she knows it, she finds herself dangling inside an iron cage, one frighteningly familiar. And the punishment she endures is oh so divine…
Despite a surprising empathy she feels for the vampire she’s captured, Cassia proceeds with her coven’s plan to drain Elena of her blood at the height of orgasm to complete a potion that will protect them from Elena’s dam. Cassia scried the darkness coming their way and the monster has a name…the Countess Elizabeth Bathory.

Coming 2012 From Cleis Press

Girls_Who_Score_thumbEven though they may not get a lot of action on the field after high school and college, girl jocks always manage to see a lot of action off the field. Because female athletes have an easy confidence about them, a natural nonchalance, and usually a killer bod, that draws all kinds of women to them – straight, lesbian, bisexual, curious, questioning, you name it.
Women are competitive by nature, whether they play sports or games. Women play hard and love harder. They don’t just score – they keep track.
Girls Who Score is filled with story after story of complex, intriguing women engaging in all kinds of, ahem, contact sports. Sinclair Sexsmith contributes "A Good Workout" at the gym with lots of hot action in the steam room and Gina Marie has two women boxers going at it in every way in her ever-so-sexy "Blood Lust." Delilah Devlin's soccer champs have a very good time in "Playing the Field," and Elle's "Game Over" has a cheerleader who "trains" a freshmen each year to serve her every need. Sporty dykes aren’t always playing ball, so to speak. After all, scuba divers and gym bunnies are in fact athletes and editor Ily Goyanes features lesbian jocks of every stripe in this sweet and sweaty volume.

Girls Who Score features Paisley Smith’s Cymone’s Dominatrix
Appolonia finished her wine and looked across the table to where another Hellene, Cymone, sat staring into her cup. Cymone. Gladiatrix prima. She dominated on the sands, knowing just how long to drag out a fight so that the crowd cheered her to victory again and again, knowing how to make a spectacle of dealing the death blow to anyone unlucky enough to have to face her. She was a true champion, an entertainer who’d risen far above her status as a slave to become one of the most celebrated gladiatrices of her time. A scar marred her olive-skinned cheek, but to Appolonia, the imperfection only made Cymone that much more intriguing, that much more beautiful. For all her prowess in the arena, however, Cymone delighted in darker pleasures of the flesh and Appolonia was pleased the gladiatrix had chosen her as her lover. Most nights, they lay in each other’s arms, kissing and caressing, bringing each other release before succumbing to the god, Hypnos’ spell. But on the evening before an appearance on the sands, Cymone allowed Appolonia a far firmer hand. Appolonia squeezed her thighs together in anticipation. Any moment, Cymone would rise, giving the signal for her to follow.

Always Room for Four with Guest Blogger, Lynn LaFleur

Always_Room_for_Four I discovered Ellora’s Cave back in 2002 by following a link from an author’s website. Whoa! I was so excited to find a publisher who didn’t close the bedroom door. I bought one book, read it, and was immediately hooked.

I’d published three sensual romances with another e-publisher, but longed to write something more edgy, and definitely sexier. My problem was I’d never used “those words” in a book. I don’t even say them in real life, so didn’t know how I could use them in a book. My two wonderful critique partners urged me to go for it. That’s how The Birthday Gift was born.

Now nine years and twenty-five Ellora’s Cave books later, I decided it was time to tell Patrick’s story. He was introduced in The Birthday Gift, the hero’s cousin and the third person of the mĂ©nage. I wanted him to meet the woman of his dreams, but I also wanted that woman to have a past relationship with another woman.

Writing about two women together was a first for me. So was writing a foursome. I had an absolute blast doing it.

Here’s a little taste of Always Room for Four. I hope you enjoy it.

* * * * *

Tera looked at Amanda’s soft hand on top of hers. So many times in college, that hand had touched Tera with tenderness and passion. She and Amanda had remained friends for years, yet had never been lovers again. They’d both become involved with the men they planned to marry. Anything between them had been pushed aside to make room for their soon-to-be husbands.

Tera no longer had a soon-to-be husband, but she had her best friend close enough to touch.

Turning her hand over, she laced her fingers with Amanda’s. She focused on their hands as she asked her next questions. “What about us? Does this foursome include us being together, or would we only be with the guys?”

Amanda remained silent. Afraid she’d said the wrong thing, Tera lifted her gaze to her friend’s face. “Would you like that?” Amanda asked softly. “Because I would.”

That confession surprised Tera almost as much as Amanda’s idea of a foursome. “You would?”

“We haven’t been together in a long time, but I’ve thought about it.”

“You never said anything.”

Amanda shrugged one shoulder. “I figured you weren’t interested anymore since you had Roger.”

“You had Jake.”

“That doesn’t mean I stopped caring for you.”

There hadn’t been anything sexual between them in seven years. After that much time, it shouldn’t seem so natural for Tera to lean closer to Amanda and kiss her tenderly. Yet it seemed as natural as drawing her next breath.

Amanda’s lips were just as soft as she remembered, just as giving beneath hers. Tera parted her lips, her tongue searched for Amanda’s. When she touched it, Tera inhaled a sharp breath. She gripped Amanda’s hand, tilted her head to deepen the kiss. Amanda answered each stroke of tongue, each slide of lips.

Blindly reaching out, Tera found Amanda’s other hand and gripped it too. She moaned low in her throat when Amanda’s tongue swept over her lips. She scooted to the edge of her chair, needing to be closer, needing to touch more of the woman seated next to her.

Much sooner than she would have liked, Tera ended the kiss. She rested her forehead against Amanda’s, wanting to continue but knowing they couldn’t at this time since Jake and Patrick waited for them in the bar. “We have to stop.”

“I know.” Amanda’s voice sounded thready, breathless. She squeezed both of Tera’s hands. “Wow.”

“Yeah.” She moved back so she could look into Amanda’s gorgeous blue eyes. “Tell me again why we stopped making love.”

“Stupidity?”

“Well, I won’t make that mistake again.”

Amanda laughed and Tera joined her. She slid from her chair, tugged Amanda to her feet to hug her. “I’ve missed you.”

“I’ve missed you too.” Amanda moved back, but kept her hands on Tera’s waist. “No matter what you decide about Jake and Patrick, you and I need some time together.”

The thought of pressing her naked body against Amanda’s made her clit gently pulse. “Yes, we do.”

A Taste of Lesbian Vampire Erotica with guest blogger, Adele Dubois

281399_2326712491744_1367625546_32808729_5574987_n When the opportunity to write a steamy short story for the GIRLS WHO BITE anthology came about, I wondered if I could handle the demands of a vampire tale. Vampires are dangerous, scary creatures, and I didn’t know if I could reach that dark place in my imagination. Add lesbian heroines to the story mix and my footing turned less sure. Though I’d included bi-sexual characters in my books for years, I knew less about the lesbian lifestyle than I did vampire lore.

Yet, the challenge intrigued me. Like an author enthralled by a vampire queen, I answered the call. I wanted to be part of something groundbreaking with other authors I admired. Girl on girl love is the last frontier of the mainstream erotic romance sub-genre. Man love stories, often written by straight women, have long been a staple of the erotic romance market. Conversely, their counterparts have been noticeably absent. The artist in me couldn’t resist writing something unique for both a straight and gay female readership.

Happily, I was able to create a story true to my voice. “The Crystal Altar” was named one of four story favorites by Love Romance Passion reviewer Susan Scholes. Reviewer Amos Lassen called the fifteen-story anthology, “literary erotica.” I couldn’t be more thrilled.

An ancient crystalline cavern becomes the setting for a most unusual birthday party…

Excerpt:

Morgan wrapped her arms around Rosa’s waist and deepened the kiss. She touched her tongue to Rosa’s, and then slid it inside her lover’s mouth.

Rosa sucked in greedy little pulls. Then she licked and nipped Morgan’s bottom lip before pressing her mouth again to hers.

It was the ultimate turn-on to be wanted.

She lowered her mouth to the pulse beating against Rosa’s neck and sucked the spot with deep, hard tugs. Her teeth grazed the delicate skin and nipped until bruises formed. She swirled her tongue over the dappled plum marks and savored the taste of Rosa’s sweet flesh as blood pooled just below the surface.

Rosa leaned away and touched her neck. Tiny lines formed between her eyebrows as her eyes flashed with uncertainty. “Why did you do that?”

Morgan cradled Rosa’s breasts and lifted them higher, watching her hands squeeze and release. “I was marking you. I want to make sure the freaks at the party know you’re taken.”

Rosa laughed. “You’re jealous? I worried you’d gone Goth on me, like your whacko cousin. She probably drinks blood for sport.”

Morgan rolled her eyes. “Wouldn’t surprise me. She likes to pretend she’s a vampire. She and her entourage go to dungeon clubs in the city.” Morgan inspected the love bite on Rosa’s neck. “That looks kind of cool, though. I like it.”

Butterfly Baudelaire has sworn off strays, but the blonde coming on to her has a killer pair of fangs and looks like she knows how to use 'em. Butterfly's not banking on the bite Cissy takes out of her heart--or the fact more than her well-spanked bottom is in danger from her vampire lover.
